This fast grower is tolerant to pollution, adverse soil conditions, heat, and drought. The bark is olive green to creamy and exfoliates. It is a good shade tree that loses its leaves late in the fall. 'Bloodgood' is very resistant to anthracnose. Excellent for street or park planting.
