With pyramidal form at an early age, this tree develops into a more oval shape at maturity.  The bright red flowers with white centers are contrasted magnificently by the glossy green leaves.  In the fall, its leaves turn rusty orange and the small, persistent red fruits are showy into the winter.  Hardy and tolerates moist soils well.
