Prairifire is considered one of the best red-leafed crabs.  It has attractive reddish bark with its maroon leaves turning reddish-green as the mature.  The flower is a bright pinkish red with a 3/8"-1/2" presistent dark red fruit.  It is rated excellent in disease resistance to Fireblight, Scab, Cedarapple rust and mildew.
